Cast wire
Some alloys, such as cobalt-chromium-tungsten alloys, cannot be forged, rolled, or drawn, but made by casting. It is mainly used for manual surfacing of the workpiece surface to meet special performance requirements such as oxidation resistance, wear resistance and corrosion resistance at high temperatures. With continuous casting and liquid extrusion, cobalt-chromium-tungsten welding wire can be manufactured for several meters, which is used for automatic wire-filled tungsten gas shielded arc welding to improve the welding efficiency and the quality of the build-up welding layer, while improving the working conditions. Cast iron repair welding sometimes uses cast wire.
