China Railway Equipment Breakthrough Shielding Machine Headstock Wear Band Welding Technology

Recently, China Railway Equipment Corporation successfully broke through the shield welding technology of the headstock wear-resistant steel strip through technical research and applied it to the national 863,973 plan diameter of 8.

Recently, CREC successfully broke through the wear-resistant steel band welding technology of shield machine headframe through technical research and applied it to the project of 863,973 diameter full-face rock tunnel boring machine (TBM) Head frame.

Due to the exceptionally complicated production process of hardbanding shields for hard rock shield machines, the welding technology has long been monopolized by foreign countries and all products have been imported, increasing the processing and assembling costs of domestic hard rock shields.

In order to break through the technology, China Railway Equipment Co., Ltd. concentrated its R & D strength and established an experienced team of scientific and technological research which lasted nearly two months of repeated experiments to successfully overcome the related technologies and apply them to equipment manufacturing.
